ICTnews – In Vietnam, the ratio of developers to testers is 5:1. The reason is due to a shortage of intensive software testing training facilities.

Vietnam International Software Testing & Automation Conference (VISTACON) 2011 will take place on December 6 -7 at the Sheraton Hotel with the theme “Advancing The State-of-The Practice of Software Testing and Test Automation”.

However, the competitive advantages include: low cost and highly qualified technical skill labor, rapid growing technical infrastructure, secured investment environment, outstanding quality service, and a low turnover rate. Vietnam exhibits an extremely attractive offshore destination for the software testing industry.

VISTACON is an open forum for collaboration, learning, and the exchange of the latest methods and techniques in software testing and test automation. LogiGear and MRD has set out to help businesses and organizations convene for the next generation of innovative approach and implementation of effective development strategies in software testing.

The content of the conference will focus on the following topics: “Test Automation;  Test Strategy, Approach, Methods and Techniques, not including Agile; Testing in Agile Development; Cross-cultural Business and Outsourcing”.

In addition, VISTACON 2011 also organizes other activities such as “Bug Hunting” and  Photo contest, with the purpose of creating a challenging and talented playground for IT enthusiasts in general and software testing enthusiasts in particular. The winning prize is tickets to attend the conference, VISTACON 2011, worth at least 300 USD / ticket. The final results of the contest will be announced at the website www.vistacon.vn

In addition, LogiGear will continue to provide testing software education for university lecturers in the central provinces, and to bring the model of software testing to IT Universities by the end of year.
