VISTACON 2011 - Vietnam International Software Testing & Automation Conference

HCMC, July 14, 2011 – The theme of Vietnam International Software Testing & Automation Conference (VISTACON) 2011 will be “Advancing the Practice of Software Testing and Test Automation” held from December 6 -7 at the Sheraton Hotel. The event is hosted by LogiGear and MRD.

The strong growth and rapid transition of global information technology has brought Vietnam advantages and disadvantages. To address the accerlated progress, international projects and national programs have increasingly emphasized and implemented IT applications in all aspects of life including economic, political, and social sectors with appropriate speed and consideration to all those effected. At the core of this growing success, the field of software testing─ especially automation software testing─ receives much attention.

Vietnam faces the challenge of matching the increasing number of enterprising projects with qualified professions and software testing training firms. According to international standards, the ratio of developer and tester is 3:1, sometimes the ratio is 1:1 within special projects. In Vietnam, that ratio is roughly 5:1.
