 HCMC, July 14, 2011 – The theme of Vietnam International Software Testing & Automation Conference (VISTACON 2011) will be “Advancing the Practice of Software Testing and Test Automation” held from December 6 -7 at the Sheraton Hotel. The event is hosted by LogiGear and MRD.
The strong growth and rapid transition of global information technology has brought Vietnam advantages and disadvantages. According to international standards, the ratio of developer and tester is 3:1, sometimes the ratio is 1:1 within special projects. In Vietnam, that ratio is roughly 5:1. Despite the important role testing and quality assurance play in the success of software projects, there is a shortage of companies providing sufficient expertise and services.
However, the competitive advantages include low cost and highly qualified technical skill labor, rapid growing technical infrastructure, secured investment environment, outstanding quality of service and a low turnover rate. Vietnam exhibits an extremely attractive offshore destination for the software testing industry.
For the purpose of bringing the hottest topics and update new content in the field of software testing for participants; as well as create opportunities for the accession of Vietnam's companies in the leadership front for both domestic and international, this year, VISTACON will continue to undertake the mission of being the first international software testing conference in Vietnam.
